Just when I thought Christmas lanterns are only popular in the Philippines. Wow!
These are piñatas… kids whack them open with a stick (or baseball bat!) and treats fall out. However, they do have Christmas lanterns. I’m up in the US right now spending the holidays with my family. If I were in Oaxaca, I’d take a photo of the one I hung outside my front door for you. Happy New Year!
Wondered if, by any chance, you have any intelligence to share on the timing of the procession tonight at Soledad?
