A beautiful photo montage and song by Arturo Leyva honoring the 43 students of the Escuela Normal Rural Raúl Isidro Burgos, teachers’ college in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero.
The video uses some of the #IlustradoresConAyotzinapa illustrations, paintings, and embroidery by Mexican designers, artists, and artisans of the faces of the 43 student teachers of Ayotzinapa.
In addition, journalist París Martínez has developed profiles of the 43 disappeared students by talking with their families and friends.
Thank you.
Muy triste.
It’s too horrific to even comprehend.
Simply horrible… I cannot imagine the pain and anger of the parents…
As a parent, neither can I. Unimaginable…
Writing from the UK, this is still not on the news! How much longer can Mexico be ignored?
The Guardian (UK) has been reporting on it since Sept. 29, but don’t know about TV. CNNI -TV has covered it only sporadically. I think TV is a hopeless source of real news. However, according to the Desinformémonos Facebook site, word has gotten out and there have been solidarity with the 43 students events in several places in Europe, Latin America, and the USA.
Yes my post was taken purely from Mexican newspapers, but I’ve seen since that it’s getting bigger.
Unbelievably sad, these young men on the brink of their adult lives so callously and barbarically taken from their loved ones. I saw on US National news yesterday that the mayor and his wife had been arrested. My heart aches for their parents.
begs for truth and justice !! the very least the parents are owed. Let’s hope this tragic story is kept alive until those 2 elements are served
