Wandering around the streets and alleys of the Marcos Perez / Lic. José Vasconcelos neighborhood, I began to see birds gathering — and they seemed to be talking.
And then there were the hummingbirds…
What delightful gifts the Argentinian artist Jesus Flores (aka, Walpaq) has left for the people of Oaxaca!
These are fabulous! They lift the spirits so beautifully, I hope they’re not ones that will soon be painted over as so much street art is..
Glad you like — they lifted my spirits, too!
I love these! Such a treat, Shannon! Thanks for sharing 💚
The street art is so much fun and uplifting to discover!
Great stuff. I’ve found that just by walking around, and in many of obscure places and locations you can unexpectedly find great pieces of art painted on the walls.
Yes, it’s one of the things I love about Oaxaca, but it’s also seen all over the world!
these are absolutely stunning. made me smile in an ugly world right now.
So glad it made you smile… it made me smile, too!
Thank you for these beautiful images! Love the colors.
Be well and safe!
These dark days need the color! Wishing you health and safety, too.

What super murals – love those bold colors!
I’m not sure if there has been an explosion of murals or if I’m just wandering around streets that weren’t previously on my usual routes. BTW, I was up in your neighborhood yesterday and, yes, the dogs were barking. 😉
Oh I love your bird murals that you have captured 😀
Thanks! It was such fun to come upon one, then another, and another, and… 😉
beautiful selection.
Thank you.
Love these bird murals 💚
