Connections are made and internationalism lives.

Gracias Shannon,
It is so refreshing to hear you say that. 18 months since I left for Scottsdale and Covid lockdown. Between your encouraging words, Norma’s Schaffer’s, and Carol Knox’s wonderful food reviews…I’ve thrown in the towel, visited my last Doctor, got me vaccination, got back in the saddle and will arrive the end of July.
My time left here is to downsize , give away, lock up , car in storage, empty the fridge, say goodbyes, stock up on scripts , and look forward to walking those streets of Oaxaca the end of July. Cuidate.

OMG! Good for you. Living here in Oaxaca for the past 12 years has been very good for the soul!
I love the timing of your post today. I was just a few moments ago wondering if I would ever be able to come back and walk through the city. In the interest of full disclosure, I was also thinking about walking to Cafeto & Baristas and sitting out front in the morning sun drinking a cup.
I love your posts, and thanks.
Lorrie
Actually, the city is almost back to its pre-pandemic life. However, Mexico’s vaccination rate is way behind that of the USA, so mask wearing and good car/hygiene remain the order of the day.
