This is the banner from Oaxaca that will be carried at the Women’s March on Washington on January 21, 2017. If you go, look for it!
If you are in Oaxaca, join U.S. citizens and friends on January 21 at 11:00 AM, in front of Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzmán, for a Women’s March Oaxaca — in solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington. Your bodies and banners would be most welcome! Just remember, slogans should be directed toward the U.S. government, as foreigners are forbidden by law from involvement in Mexican politics.
Yay! Bill and I will be marching in DC!
Stay warm and look for our banner. 😉
Very cool!!
… and gathering steam!
Hella proud!
Wonderful, energetic, and creative people working on it.
That is wonderful! I will be marching in Sacramento, we will be globally supporting peace and the respect and rights of all.
We will be marching together all over the world!
I’ll be in DC and watch for the banner.
Stay warm and give Oaxaca’s regards to sister and fellow marchers!!!
I’m getting it together to make it to this event. A lot can happen I’m 4 years we need to know we aren’t ok with the attack on women’s rights. So what is it like for Americans to live in Oaxaca? Is it safe there from the cartel violence?
Oaxaca is warm, welcoming, and lacking in cartel violence. Like any city, anywhere in the world, there are neighborhoods one avoids at night and there are the occasional pickpocket crimes of opportunity. I hope you can make it to a march on Jan. 21. There are now 10 scheduled in Mexico!
