Great pictures…I like them all especially the ones leaning against the truck!
Great pics. I love watching the men sweep the zócalo with their graceful motion. I’m sure these are much lighter than a big wooden push broom!.
Excellent for getting the spiders and webs in those tall, dark corners of the closet. We also used these to put the acid stain onto our concrete floors.
And, your floors look fabulous! Hasta pronto.
This Oaxaqueña living abroad absolutely loves reading your posts and admiring your pictures. Little things, like escobas de otate, make me smile. 🙂
¡Muchisimas gracias! I feel so pleased and honored you like my blog. Your Oaxaca is a very special place and inspires me.
Seen these brooms tucked up tree branches in the zocalo; Now I know their
real nombre ” escobas de otate” and their good use. Quite practical and resourceful ! Nice pics , btw.
Thanks, Archie! Love it when I see them tucked up in a tree, waiting to be put to good use.
You have a good eye for taking pictures of interesting things in Oaxaca… not the typical tourist pictures. I enjoy reading your blogs.
Thank you for reading my blog and your kind and encouraging words!
