Yes they are!
I’m so glad you’re documenting the wall art in Oaxaca, not just the Covid ones, but the whole range of artistic creativity there. I love the girl in the last photo – I’ve been feeling like that at times myself lately. I’m done with Covid, too. I wish it were done with us.

Yes, I think she speaks for many of us! The street art is helping to bring creativity and context to us these days.
Thanks. Wonderful images.
Yes, they are! The voices of the artists are wonderful and welcome.
The mural culture in Mexico has a long and storied history. Love being able to keep up with wall art in Oaxaca. Such creative minds at work. Thanks.
Yes, the legacy of murals and public art is one of the riches of Mexico.
One of the reasons I travel to Oaxaca is to see the wall art. I find it unfortunate that the local government works to discourage wall art and seeks to punish artists for their expressions. I have tried to communicate my interest in street art with representatives of the tourist agency, but either they don’t understand me, or they are afraid to agree with me..
At least for now, new murals and stencils have been allowed to remain. Let us hope the city officials have changed their tune, and the street art will remain.
