Yes it is! I was surprised by how many jacarandas I saw in Mexico City — including the above photo of the color coordinated guys sitting under one near Bellas Artes.

I love these trees and how they carpet the ground in purple!
Yesterday, on the drive to San Antonino Castillo Velasco, there were lovely patches of purple blanketing the dirt along the roadside. A lovely sight!

Just catching up on my blogs. Wow, have you ever nailed the Jacaranda in your photos. Love the rift of Hendrix playing through it all. Still enjoying these blooms in Tehuacán, but I’ve noticed from past visits to Oaxaca that the Jacaranda are even better where you are. Thanks for sharing the purple!
