What can I say? The last few mornings, as I checked on my rooftop garden, I started singing, The Telephone Hour song from 1960s musical, Bye Bye Birdie.

Much more attractive than the common-as-muck variety of bindweed found in northern climes.

  Yikes, I had to look up bindweed! I never heard of it growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area.
