I read the news today…
June 1, 2019 by spixl
I’m visiting family and friends in el norte and trying not to get caught up in the constant barrage of ignorant, disgraceful, and infuriating news coming out of Washington D.C. However, sometimes it can’t be ignored.
This is all I have to say…

Another mural by Lapiztola on the side of the Palenque Mal de Amor outside Santiago Matatlán.

You’re blog is one, or more, of the favorite parts of any week. However, as an American living in this enchanting spot I now call home it touched me like no other of yours. So simple yet so powerful, not unlike the dissident wood carvings & posters this region is known so we’ll for, that it literally brought tears to my eyes. This is not the America I grew up with and have a hard time believing it is the one now that seems so unfamiliar. I hope this long nightmare will be over and we will return to a nation that respects differences. I also hope it’s not too late.
How can I repost this to my Facebook page please?

Sometimes I just can’t find the words when I see these kinds of stories. What times we live in. Where is the compassion?
We share this planet and it is beyond any sense of decency, compassion, and understanding of consequences.
